Comical Song from a Super Hit Comedy Movie! Rare Comical Performance by a Popular Heroine!

This is a comical hit song from the super hit comedy movie Adutha Veettu Penn (1960) starring TR Ramachandran, KA Thangavelu, Anjali Devi, Karunanidhi and others. Anjali Devi has excelled in this light hearted comedy a role which she is rarely known for and accustomed to! This movie was originally made in Bengali based on the Bengali story "Pasher Bari" by Arun Chowdhury, which was first adapted into a Bengali Movie in 1952 as Pasher Bari directed by Sudhir Mukherjee, starring Bhanu Bannerjee in the title role. It was remade in Telugu as Pakkinti Ammayi (1953) starring Anjali Devi, Relangi, and singer A. M. Rajah. This song has been sung by Sirkazhi Govindarajan and Tiruchi Loganathan both great exponents of Carnatic music. Music for this movie was composed by Adi Narayana Rao and the movie was produced by Anjali Pictures the production house owned by Anjali Devi. The movie was a super hit and the same was remade in Hindi as Padosan in 1968. Padosan too was a super hit!
